Micromilspec Fieldmaster: A Field Watch Built by the People Who Actually Wear One

Micromilspec has just introduced its newest model, the Fieldmaster, a modern 40mm titanium field watch developed with input from the people who actually wear watches in the field.

And this isn’t just a marketing line. The Fieldmaster is the result of a Field Test Program involving 30 serving military personnel, who tested prototype watches between 2019 and 2022. Their feedback directly influenced the final design, from the oversized hands and indexes to the decision to leave out a rotating bezel.

The idea was simple: build a professional field watch around what is actually needed today.

The Fieldmaster measures 40mm in diameter and 11.2mm thick, with a titanium case and 200m water resistance. It will be available in two versions: microblasted titanium and Gunpowder DLC.

Both feature a black matte-grained dial with large Lumicast-filled hands and indexes. The layout is clean and highly legible, with hours, minutes, small seconds and date on the dial, while the power-reserve indicator is moved to the caseback.

Inside is the HORAGE K3 automatic movement, specially configured for Micromilspec. It offers more than 100 hours of power reserve and is regulated to -4/+6 seconds per day. The silicon escapement and hairspring also provide strong magnetic resistance, with HORAGE stating that the movement remains accurate through 15,000 gauss and beyond.

The Fieldmaster will be produced in an annual batch of just 75 pieces per model. Pre-orders open today, 2 September 2026, with first deliveries expected in May 2027.

Pricing starts at $2,995 USD on a rubber strap and $3,655 USD on a titanium bracelet.

A big thank you to Micromilspec for sending me the photos and information about their new release and for giving me the chance to take a closer look at the Fieldmaster.

My thoughts on this release

After looking at the Fieldmaster, I have to say that I really like what Micromilspec has done here. It carries the brand’s DNA really well, but at the same time feels like a very wearable and versatile watch.

The proportions look spot on to me. The 40mm case usually works great on my 17cm wrist, and the 200m water resistance is more than enough for pretty much anything I could throw at it in everyday use.

And then there’s the movement. The HORAGE K3 is a dream to see in a watch like this. The combination of a 100+ hour power reserve, silicon escapement and hairspring, strong magnetic resistance and -4/+6 seconds per day regulation makes it a seriously impressive package. The four-day-plus power reserve is particularly fantastic, you can take the watch off for a few days and come back to it without having to reset everything.

All in all, I think Micromilspec nailed this one. It looks purposeful, the specifications make sense, and most importantly, it still feels like a watch I would genuinely want to wear.

Would I rock the Fieldmaster? Absolutely.
